Senior Executive - Legal
The Senior Legal Executive will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing legal agreements while ensuring regulatory compliance across business operations of DevX Group. The role requires working closely with internal teams including Sales, Accounts, Operations, and Management, as well as coordinating with external solicitors, company secretaries, and advisors. The position requires strong legal drafting ability, contract negotiation skills, and the ability to translate legal risks into practical business advice.
Key Responsibilities
1) Contract Drafting & Agreement Management
- Draft, review, and finalize legal agreements including:
- Lease Deeds
- Leave & License Agreements
- Service Level Agreements
- NDAs & MOUs
- Notices
- Board Resolutions
- SEZ agreements
- Master Service Agreements
- Ensure agreements align with company risk policies
- Maintain contract version control and documentation
2) Due Diligence & Legal Risk Review
- Conduct due diligence on properties, clients, and partners
- Identify legal risks in contracts and transactions
- Support decision-making with risk analysis
3) Contract Negotiation & Client Interaction
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and partners
- Participate in client calls to clarify legal provisions
- Resolve contractual queries during deal structuring
4) Regulatory Research & Compliance
- Research and interpret relevant laws including:
- RERA
- Companies Act
- Indian Contract Act
- Arbitration & Conciliation Act
- SEZ Act
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks
5) External Legal Coordination
- Coordinate with solicitors and external legal advisors
- Work with company secretaries on regulatory filings
- Support audits and compliance reviews
6) Corporate Governance Support
- Support preparation of regulatory filings
- Maintain compliance documentation
- Ensure organized records for audit readiness
7) Legal Advisory
- Provide practical legal advice on potential risks
- Support dispute prevention and resolution
- Assist business teams with legal clarity on contracts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) – Master’s degree in Law (LLM) preferred
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in a legal role, preferably in corporate and/or real estate sectors
- Hands-on experience in drafting, negotiation, and risk mitigation
Key Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of contract law, property law, and corporate legal frameworks
- Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to simplify complex legal matters into clear, actionable advice
- Strong research skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, especially in client interactions
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on protecting company interests while enabling business growth
